E-Team Special Mission: Embellishment Bits!

Happy mid-December! It's time for another eclectic Paperie E-Team Blog Hop Extravaganza!

This time around, our fearless leader, Daisy, challenged us to use the sweet new Maya Road Vintage Embellishment Bits in our project, and what a cool little package of stuff THAT is! Check it out:

Since I was doing a holiday card, I picked a few key pieces and still have enough groovy trinkets left over for several more projects.

As with all E-Team blog hops, eclectic Paperie is offering some fabulous prizes, and this time, there will be SIX lucky winners! Three people will win an eP $20 gift certificate, and three others will wins a fun box stuffed with eP's favorite embellishments-- trims, brads, buttons, decorative pins, Stickles... and more! To be eligible to win, all you need to do is leave a comment on each artist's blog between now and Sunday, December 18.

During this super-busy time of year, we're hoping to make it easier for everyone to participate in this hop--so we're spreading the love over two days! Today, these 3 E-Teamers are posting...

...and tomorrow (Friday) there will be three NEW posts added from these E-Teamers:

(Sherry Cheever is sitting this one out, but be sure to stop by her blog and see what kind of beautiful things she's been up to!)

I made a quick little holiday card for this challenge...

The background card is kraft color card stock stained with Fired Brick Distress Stain. The tree was drawn with an opaque green paint marker and decorated with Gold, True Blue and Tropical Tangerine Stickles. The little snowflakes are from the Maya Road Vintage Embellishment Bits kit, and were painted with Snow Cap Adirondack Paint.

I used a Santa image from Tim Holtz's Seasonal Paper Stash inside the little Maya Road tin, filled it about 1/8 of the way full with chunky white glitter, and sponged a little Bottle Alcohol Ink onto the metallic lid. The pretty little star pin is from the same Maya Road package, and the fake berries and leaves are just cheap craft store stuff. Everything is hot glued into place.
