Grungy Monday 17!

Featuring Special Guest Star Designers

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a spectacular week and are ready to get your distress on! This week, we're going to be exploring one of Tim's coolest, most universally useable product categories-- two brilliant products that are guaranteed to jazz up any project. That's right, it's the glossy side of of grunge, brought to you by ROCK CANDY! Check out the video and be dazzled!

I am an unrepentant Rock Candy addict. I love both these products for the great texture, beautiful shine and glam/distress they offer. Rock Candy adds instant character to pretty much anything, and it's foolproof (one of my very favorite attributes of all!). For this challenge, you're welcome to use either Rock Candy Crackle Paint, Rock Candy Stickles, or BOTH in your creation! Gloss it up, guys-- this is literally the time to shine!

I'm just thrilled to introduce you to two absolutely brilliant artists, both of whom have been inspiring me for a long time. They are masters of the Tim Holtz crafting style, and darn nice people, too. A round of applause for:

Nancy Crissinger

Stephen Jew
Stephen made TWO rockin' pieces for this challenge!

Here's My Little Travel Journal Cover. I love how the Rock Candy Crackle makes the stained Grungeboard look like glazed leather.
"Why, this car could be systematic.... hydromatic.... ultramatic...."

Ready for some Rock Candy? Awesome! Visit the link above to Tim's blog for you inspiration, then create your own artful piece using Rock Candy Crackle Paint and/or Rock Candy Stickles, then add it here using the InLinkz button below. You'll need to have a blog or online, public photo album to link from. Don't forget to include a link to Tim's blog in your post or photo description!

Remember, too, to share your masterpiece at the All Things Tim group at Yahoo, where fabulous Gloria has set up a photo album just for Grungy Monday art! You'll never find a nicer, more supportive bunch of people, so if you've not a member, join up!

Okay, friends, rock on! I hope you all have a fantastic, artistic, inspiring week!

Hugs,
Linda

You have all outdone yourselves with this challenge. For some reason, I never get great results like y'all with these products, but I did have fun experimenting - that's what it's all about, right?! :-)

These challenges are great Linda, I love how they encourage you to revisit products that you perhaps haven't used in a while and the Distress Crackle Paint is one of those products. I really enjoyed using it this week, THANKS. Great DT pieces as always. Tracy Evans x x

I'm having difficulties commenting so let's try again. Just wanted to say your examples are all lovely. I'm still not feeling very grungy but I've entered anyway. Hope that's allright.
